Sewer Hose storage

That is for your sewer hose. I have the same on our 2013. This feature was deleted on the 2014 models.

I bought a tube from Camping world-mounted just behind the front legs.I have kept the boom,loaded with a 10ft Rino.Do not need the longer hose very often.20ft fits the tube with fittings.

My '06 has that sewer drop down door as in snfexpress' picture. I have a couple other hoses I'd like to store and plan to put a door just like that one on the other side of the rig to match. I got that idea from Sreigle since he did that on his prior rig.

I would rather have longer sewer runs than longer electrical runs, so if necessary I will position the rig accordingly. I have only needed to do this once, but right before I hooked up my sewer line, I had gone to the RV store and purchased two additional lengths but when I returned to the campground the neighbor in the adjacent campsite had left and there was a dump inlet right next to mine sewer outlet! So I used it with my existing hoses and supports since no one showed up and I didn't install the extra hoses I had purchased to make the long sewer run. I need the extra storage place for these two never used hoses that are currently being stored in my garage.

We currently have our Rhino type one stored in a red rubbermaid 18gal tote. I like this idea BUT it takes up room in the basement, where space is at a premium. I have never liked the boom and would like to simply remove it and put something under the trailer NEAR the septic area...the less I have to handle it the better! This is one mod that I plan for this spring. I want my storage space back!

We use same kind of tub. Long hose fits well along with "sewer line support" apparatus. We line the tub with two large garbage bags. Dump the bags every couple months. Keeps everything clean as possible.

On mine there is a factory installed 4' tube (looks like the ones from CW but black PVC) that is attached to the frame where the old sewer booms were.

I purchased 2 square PVC fence posts at Home Depot and mounted them to the frame just behind the rear axle. I bought 2 sections of PVC gutter and made sliding trays that slide into the posts making it easier to cays some misc sewer fittings.

I bought a five gallon pail and lid from Lowes it holds my sewer hose connector and rubber gloves very nicely. I also bought one for my 50 amp power cord it rolls up perfectly and is easy to handle. Also very cheap and no labor involved. Oh Yeah and it helps me to stand back up after ive kneeled down. lol

For those of you that have removed your sewer boom, what did you replace it with? Is it a gate valve on the end of the outlet or did you just put a cap on it?

I place end caps on my hoses and store them with the propane tanks. You have to bend them some but you can fit a couple of hoses in each compartment if needed.

I took DQDICK and MOBIL'S advise. I went to Lowe's and purchased the section of fence post sleeve, which was not with the regular fencing material but back in the lawn and garden center. I have it cut down, one end cap secured, drainage holes drilled, and painted black. This week I will decide where and how to mount it under the Monte. I got rid of my "sewer storage tub" that I had kept in the basement and it gives me a ton more room down there. Since the fence sleeve only came in 8' sections I am going to end up with 4' left over. I am thinking about installing another twin sewer boom right next to this new one to hold my fishing rods/reels, thus freeing up more basement space.

The problem with tubes is what to do with your sewer adapters. At the rally a few years ago, we did the mod that some have discussed. Where the sheet metal curves under the unit, there is vacant space. We used a roto zip to cut a hole and then installed a sewer door we acquired. Very simple, under ten dollars and stores both hoses and adapters. I would post a picture but my unit is in for some service.

I made one just like Dick did but before this thread started. I attached the fence post to the frame by drilling and taping a 1/4 20 hole on each end through the frame. Works great.

I should have added I attached the hose storage to the post with 3 long radiator hose clamps.

When we had our MH I fabricated a sewer storage tube using 4" drain tile, a cap, and a fitting with screw on cap. I installed a cotter less hitch pin to prevent the hose from falling out if the cap came off. That also made the cap easier to attach. I had to shave off a small portion of the red fittings so the hose would fit. I attached the assembly to exposed cross members using stainless hose clamps.

Works great. The hose dries quickly and is convenient to the connections. We keep a short spare hose in the cabinet for those sites that have a long run to sewer.
