Buying Montana 295ORK

The dealer in Norther California wants $45,000.00 for this package. Is this a fair price. How can I get a better deal. Any suggestions would be appreciated. tom

Tom I am not good at pricing but I think it is a litte high for a 2950RK. I think that someone that ought recently might share some price info with you.

I would think you could get a larger model for the money with a lot of options.

I would take a look at the internet and do a search. You might try rv.net and do a search to compare prices. There are other sites too. I think Good Sam's has a search for sale sector.

But even then, I might look at the included options, like a fifth wheel hitch, washer/dryer (if you want it), or anything else you can think of to get him to sweeten the pot. Be prepared to walk away from the deal if it doesn't smell right. Others on this forum may be able to lead you to buying guides and techniques.

By-the-way, welcome to the MOC Forum. It's great to have you aboard. Happy RVing.

Hi my name is Marti. I'm new to the MOC. My husband and I just bought a 2005 3295RK Montana just last month. It came with quite a few options. With taxes and licensing fees it cost us around $50,000. It seems that $45,000 for a 2950RK is a little steep.

Good looking rig, LJII.

I agree with the others, it sounds a bit high. Some here have reported buying some of the bigger Montanas for as low as $38k. You should be able to get 20% off MSRP just by asking. More if willing to negotiate. And more if you're buying last year's model.

We found it quite interesting when we did a search online for Montana dealers then emailed them with the precise model and options we wanted, then requested a price. We got a wide range of prices, including some large discounts. In your shoes I think I'd shop around. But if this is the only one you see that's exactly what you want, then you have to decide if it's worth paying a premium. If it is worth it to you, go for it. Nothing wrong with that. Good luck. Hope you get a good deal.
