Hong Kong through the lens

Some of you have asked me to post pictures from Hong Kong. I couldn't do it because tinypics has banned China from using their site due to excessive rules violations. Glenn has been gracious to establish tinypics URLs for me, so I will try to post.

Traditional Wedding Costume

From "The Peak", a view of the Central District of Hong Kong Island and across the harbour to Kowloon of the mainland. The area just across is called Tsim Sha Tsui. The very tall building on the extreem right is the IFC Building, the Hong Kong equivalent of the late World Trade Center. A great amount of construction has taken place on both sides of the harbour in the last 15 years.

Overlooking Happy Valley horseracing track and beyond to high rise appartments in Causeway Bay from the Blacks Link Hiking Trail. Happy Valley was once a swamp.

This is a hiking trail about 1/3 mile for our flat.

Dianna about to climb some rather steep stairs to a higher portion of the trail

Stiles on a typical hiking trail.

I wanted you to see that jungle and dense urban life exist side-by-side. There is so much to see and talk about. This seems so inadequate.

Thanks, you will have to share your photo albums or computer presentation at a future rally. When are you coming back to the States?

Stiles & Diana, Thank you so much for sharing. The pics are truly wonderful and it makes it easier for us to "picture" you there and not here at home. Thanks again.
