storage cabinet/ basement doors

anyone have a problem keeping them closed? It seems that the "latching mechcanism is too short. Went to Camping world and they said that they're all made at 1 1/2" in length.
can they be adjusted?

Nonsense!

http://www.ch751.com/docs/orderform.pdf

Print out the page and take it down to show them "Step 2 Cams", and watch the idiot stammer away.

Edit: Ahhh, yeah, slam latches are a different animal entirely. Would help to know which kind you are talking about.

If you mean the slam latches, I adjusted mine by putting washers under the latch bottom piece mounted to the storage compartment floor.

We found that when we were unhooked the slam latches seemed to hold when in the lock position. As soon as we hooked up with the latches in the lock position they did not hold when pulled on. Our solution was to put a steel bracket under each bottom piece with a hole drilled at each end to allow the screws to reconnect through the original mounting holes. Problem solved.

We just got our unit and only camped a couple nights so far to test it. I find I don't like having to leave the basement door open due to the water connection. Has anyone maybe cut a panel for the hose so the door can be shut? Any other suggestions?

Thank you,

Anna

Anna-- You will get better results if you post your question on a separate post rather than combine it this subject. I think you'll get plenty of answers to your question if you do.

Why are you leaving the basement door open with the hose running in thru it? That is what the discs in the bottom of the convenient center is for. To run your water hose/s up thru the bottom of it and you still get to have your basement door closed. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me!

Rondo,
I didn't notice any convenience disks.... And the dealer didn't mention them either. I'm so glad I asked and you answered!! Thank you!!! Glad we didn't jump the gun and cut some holes.... How silly are we....
