Stabilizers ?

We've used our 2018 Montana 3120RL for one season and lIke it. My question is: what type of stabilizers are most effective for the normal front to back and side to side movements?

You should not need any - your six point jacks should give a stable platform.

Thx, AZ Traveler.
I haven't been using any the last spring thru fall. On my 2005 Cougar 5th wheel, I used the king pin tripod, and Ball X-wheel chocks; that all held things pretty steady.

Agree. Tossed the kingpin tripod stabilizer long ago.

Thx, for your response, I'm really appreciating the Montana Owners Club as an awesome resource.
My current mission is to reorganize my RV pass through (garage) and eliminate unused items.

If you want more stability you need to carry some blocks so that the jacks don't extend as far. We carry some with us when we travel and at our home bases we have some large ones we made sitting ready for our return.

Thx, we do carry blocks with us. I thought only about a bigger footprint, a shorter jack extension make a lot of sense.

the 6 point level system is all you need. We do use blocks to shorten the stroke.

I am amazed at the people who don't use any blocks when setting up then complain about the instability. The only time I don't use blocks is at home as it is on a concrete slab and I am not using it. The shorter the jack the more stabile the rv. I carry about 18 blocks which may be an overkill but I have set-up at some very unlevel sites.

i don't use blocks, and wish the unit were more stable.. but have 6 point.. and tire xjacks... so, blocks will be the next thing...

I carry lego blocks and usually put two to three under each jack. Trailer is very stable.

Our unit is a 3000RK which is 35 1/2 long and I use some 4x8x4 blocks up front and some 4x6x4 onc the rear stabalizers. There is some shaking when someone walks across the floor. Maybe I'll add some blocks to the rear stabalizers to help with shaking.
