Surprise, AZ area

Setting up a last minute trip to Vegas from San Antonio. Trying to divide the driving up almost equally with the last leg to Vegas being the shortest. No prob getting to Fort Stockton day 1, Deming, NM day 2. Wanted to get to Wickenburg, AZ on day 3 and stay an extra day to catch our breath, but there is literally nothing with full hookups in that town. Plan B was to go to the Surprise, AZ area, as it is the closest to Wickenburg with RV parks. Any recommendations would be appreciated. TIA.

There are at least 3 parks in Wickenburg. One seems to be just opened last fall. Check campgroundreviews.com. The other 2 were FHU but one had reviews saying trouble if over 40 ft. Good luck.

If you can find something in Wickenburg I would not fight the 60 traffic to drive into Surprise. It is not a nice drive with all the traffic, I try to stay away from it if possible even in just a car especially during rush hour which seems to be most of the day.

I would recommend the Horsepatality RV Park in Wickenberg. Full hookups and very nice park.

Since this OP asked this in Jan, I assume he has already made a decision and finished his trip.
