T Mobil

Anyone using T Mobile for cell service and using your phone as a hotspot? How well does it work? Thanks for any info.

Who you need for service really depends on where you go in the country. We have to have Verizon because others are very spottyor non existent at most of out of the way places we travel.

We have friends with T-Mobile who are switching to Verizon because of lack of service in some areas.
We have Verizon and have had pretty good coverage from Florida to Alaska, Florida to Newfoundland everywhere in between.

I have had T-Mobile for over 10 years. We go to Wyoming and Montana often (every 2nd or 3rd year) and always had reception. Last year nothing in either state. I think T-Mobile customer service said various areas have their own agreement with ATT as the backup carrier. And Wy and Montana ATT won't let T-Mobile on AT ALL!!!!
Fortunately we have a 2nd phone with ATT.

some places you go meaning CG's have barely any type of cell service. I was just in Orlando with a fired, I have AT&T, he has both since he works from his Rig, and VZ, and AT&T both have spotty service in and around Kissimmee and Orlando, other places in the area I know are a deadspot for T-Mobile, but all depends where you are. I find most areas in NJ, PA, NY, and South in VA, SC, NC AT&T seems to work decently, but best thing is to post on here where you are going, ppl will generally respond if they have been there with any cell carrier, which is what I did to start finding good and bad spots with our unit years ago.

We are long-timers and have traveled from Key West to Alaska, California to Maine and all points in-between. It's Verizon for us all the way. We use the phone as a hot spot and use MiFi for streaming netflix, etc. We rarely have a problem with service. We stayed in Disney World and had no problems in the Orlando area either so there may be a pocket or two we missed. I think with any server you are going to find areas without service but Verizon seems to have the best. Even the national parks are beginning to allow cell towers. Will wonders never cease!!!!!

Hi

we have t-mobile and it works quite well.
For areas which are tough we carry a verizon jetpack.
The bad - when t-mobile fails verizon is most of the time short to fail too.
I heard the sprint is getting also excellent reception through out USA.

I switched to Sprint from Verizon. Verizon was getting expensive so I switched. I really don't have to many problems going across the country but there are areas that we don't have service. It's the same with every carrier. Sometimes its the phone that is the problem. Battery to weak or something else.

Have had VZ for 13 years Friends and other family members have Sprint and TMobile. They often ask to borrow my phone as they did not have a signal. VZ Hot Spot for internet Works great most of the time. VZ is a little more expensive than some of the others but worth it in my opinion
