Check when everything is retracted.

I checked when everything was in and when everything was out since I couldn't find anything that said how full the tank was supposed to be in either case. I used a Sharpie and marked the tank at the two levels (about four or five inches from the bottom and three from the top) so I don't have to worry about pulling everything in or putting it out to find out how much is in the system.

Pic is with front gear down. I like the idea of knowing level when all up and all out....

Do slides kitchen slides use any of this or only Level Up?

All hydraulics use what's in the tank. There is a mark in the plastic near the top of the tank that shows where fluid should be w/all retracted. John

We marked ours when new with a sharpie mark when everything retracted and another mark after auto level was done.

Was told by Lippert last year that with all slides in and landing gear up should be 1" below base of filler neck

Like Scott-Pati, we were told at the MOC rally that Keystone adds enough fluid to make everything operate properly, however, that is the minimum amount. If you lose fluid, things will almost immediately start to fail to operate. The recommendation was to add more fluid as a cushion.

The following is copied from Lippert's Owner's Manual for their Level Up system, which can be downloaded from their site, http://www.lci1.com/support-center

Maintenance
1. Each month, check that the fluid level is within 1/4" of the fill spout lip while jacks and slide-outs are fully retracted.
Note: Always fill the reservoir with the jacks and slide-outs in the fully retracted position. Filling reservoir when jacks and slide-outs are extended will cause reservoir to overflow into its compartment when
jacks and slide-outs are retracted.
