Galley Slide problem 3400RL
We are on our second excursion and have second big issue. HELP?
In opening, got caught on upper cabinet door (someone SWEARS they will check each door from now on)!
Stopped it...vertical trim to left of stove pried off and door trim bent...both fixable.
ISSUE...we can't get slide to open fully and seal. It hits something hard like the hydralic ram is all the way out. But inside we are lacking 2-3 inches of fully opened.
We have checked everywhere we can looking for something blocking it and found loose mud dauber nests...nothing else. Opened and closed numerous times...nothing.
Okay you experts...what do we do, please? Thanks!

I don't have that unit so this is just a thought. Are you sure the trim piece on the slide is not bent in from where it struck the door. That happened on ours and I just pushed the trim piece back to where it was perpendicular to the slide. Jim

If it's out more at the bottom than the top it could be that something is caught under the slide on the bottom. Bring it in till it lifts up and look under the front lip.

Something under the slide would be my guess also. Is there a piece of trim missing that you could not find?

Once this problem is fixed, you might want to consider putting velcro wraps around all of your cabinet door handles, smooth side in, rough side out. This way you won't take the polish off of the handles.
We have done this from day one and have never had a cabinet door open. Some of these Interstates that we travel on, is pretty rough. Your door could have been closed when you left.
Lots of luck finding out what is wrong, hope nothing major....

Assuming fridge is in the slide, it is possible if wiring or propane line was somehow compromised.

We have checked out all trim boards and doors, looked carefully underneath it and see nothing at all. Any other suggestions guys? Thank you.

Did something fall out of the open cabinet, and is now on top of the slide(inside of course)?
Also check the shear bolt for the rod that drives the slide gear at the opposite end of the slide from the hydraulic ram (underneath the slide, outside)

Took rig in. Found slide had been in this position for years...no clue why of course. FIX: loosen nuts under slide near fender that keeps the rod that controls the distance in and out that the slide can go. This was very difficult to accomplish but once loose all went quickly. Using wrenches he was able to move the slide out thedistanceit was SUPPOSE to be. Kitchen is 3" wider! So the cabinet door coming open had nothing todo with it.
Now the frig! The 12v wiring was laying against the coil part of the refrigerator and had been frazzled. Repaired...taped so it can't do that again!
Thanks again everyone for trying to help us with this! You area great group #128525;
