Front & Rear Caps

Well the dealer is going to send my brand new unit out to have the front and rear caps painted/touched up. Has anyone else had to have the caps reprinted. I know there was a topic on front caps fading. I still am unhappy with the gouge they put in my front cap with their forklift but they did show me some other issues with the paint, especially on the rear cap which looks like it will need to be completely reprinted as the front will probably only be rep ain't up to the big decals above the gouge.
It still cracks me up that on the Work Order it only states that it is going in for blemish repair from the factory paint job.
Should they be reprinting the whole caps similar to automotive where they at least go to a gap in the body panels?

Believe the front cap fading issue was with the Cougar line and others. Montana was too new yet for historical fading issues. Sounds like you are at the front of the line.

I would want to have details in that work order. Way too vague for my comfort level. The fading that I remember hearing about was with high country models. John

Unit is 2016 3160RL LE. No fading on mine. Some rock chips up front along with a big gash where dealership hit it with their forklift. The back cap does have paint quality issues. You can see where it just looks like they went to light on the paint especially around the window. I am also very nervous as I am not getting all the information that I would like. Even on their issue list they have not written down that they also damaged the front end. They just mention the rock chips. I would assume that they are going to be reimbursed from Keystone.

I will try to talk to Chase again as he was my contact at Keystone Montana Division.

I picked our unit up tonight from the dealership where it was supposed to be getting all the warrantee work done. I must say it is hard to tell what kind of job they did on repainting the caps. Unit was filthy inside and outside. I will wash it and then maybe I can see how good of job was done.

Make sure they put a clear coat on the paint. If not it will start to fade in a couple of years. Find out where they had the repair done. If they sent it out for repair some body shops guarantee their paint work for the life of the vehicle. It would be worth checking.

That is a good idea Jim. I stopped by the paint shop when the unit was there being painted. I will have to see what all they actually did and check on the warrantee.
