P.S. The entire bottom of my shower is now absolutely nasty and goopy and streaky, and my regular method of cleaning the shower is not cutting it. When I shower it all backs up and builds up and the water level gets to my ankles. Ew. I need to get this problem solved, I can't stop taking showers but if this keeps up I'll be able to make sculptures on the shower floor. **barf**

It's just possible that the "goop" stuff you're seeing is soap residue. Some bath soaps leave a scummy substance that makes me think of the stuff you're seeing. We use Dial in the shower and since we've started that we haven't noticed the scum.
