Hey guys, here's your sewer hose door

I went to our Montana dealer this morning to pick up our parts order. The parts guy brought out a box he thought was ours. I opened the box to confirm the parts were correct. It was not our order.

But, what was in that box was the exact door and frame I used for the sewer hose door. And it came from Keystone.

Here's the ordering info:

"Multiple Purpose Door"
Keystone part number: 121821
Price: $24.95

I hope this helps you find the door.

My 06 3475 has a sewer hose door right above the sewer outlet and I store 2 sewer hoses in there. The compartment is part of the sheet metal rolled pan that goes from the side to under the frame. I also added more bolts to hold the sheet metal on to the frame. I drilled and tapped for 1/4 bolts and added more then what Keystone put there. Any water in the hoses just runs out and the door dose not lock with a key.

Steve, Would this hidden compartment be suitable for storing the electric cords? Maybe by putting in a floor. I have not seen the area yet but thought it might be nice to store something larger in there. Possibly by installing a larger door from somewhere. What's your opinion on this?

Thanks, Phil

Phil, that sounds workable to me. The 50amp cord is stiff enough it shouldn't work it's way out of the bottom openings so long as you are careful where you put the end plugs. The 30 amp cord might need a false floor, like you said. If you look at the existing sewer hose compartment, this one is identical to that except reversed, of course. The bottom openings are the same, too.

One thing to check is to make sure the floor is strong enough to handle the weight of the 50 amp cord and whatever bouncing it might do in there. Probably not very much. A false floor would provide some security. The existing floor might be plenty strong. I haven't really checked that.

If you go with a larger door, you can go wider but not taller, because of the ceiling in there. Same as in the existing compartment.
