Cleaning the convection oven

Hi Gang;

I do love that convection oven. This was the first one I ever used and I rarely use the standard oven anymore. Question is on cleaning the dang thing. Obviously you get a grease build up. On the conventional oven I just use the foaming oven cleaner that cuts the grease.

I'm not sure you can safely do that with the Apollo oven. You have the circulating fan inside with the grill open to both the fan and the heating coils. Not too sure about getting a foaming liquid cleaner in contact with the fan and coils.

What does everyone else use?

Thanks in advance!!

Not trying to be a wise guy but you may have a problem finding someone that still has a working Apollo to help you with this. MANY problems with them.

Or just the convection ovens in general. I'm sure they all have the fans, coils and air holes in the interior inclosures. I'm tempted just to use the standard oven cleaner but I don't want to short the thing out.

If you do not have a manual, look at the manual on line, and look at page 15 for cleaning info.

We just use dish soap on a soft scrubber pad.

Thank you very much!! That is what I was looking for. I got this Monty used and it didn't have all the manuals with it. I was leery about spraying around some of the internals in the oven and the manual says as much. Easy off will work and cover the holes with masking tape.

Thanks much!
