Need to clean shower drain

After 9 years, our 2006 2955RL finally has a slow shower drain. Any recommendations to clean the drain? Pretty sure Liquid Plumber is not on the list of approved chemicals. TIA

Never mind a reply....DH just cleaned out the trap. He bathes our 2 beagles in the shower and found enough fur to make a toy poodle.

Funny story...I can just visualize the glob that was pulled out! Humans with long hair can be just as bad.

Not sure about your age of rig. On the newer ones they have a substitute for a Ptrap (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004A2YFG4/...I1K80KZJO3JBIH) that if you attempt to run something into it a membrane will tear and it will need to be replaced. You can guess how I know. Since then we've installed the little drop in screens (http://www.amazon.com/Camco-42273-As...DEGR9MVR6B75T2) in all our drains and while we have to clean them frequently, no more slow drain problems.
