Chattanooga area parks
DW and I would love to spend a couple nights at a campground in the cattanooga area, or in the surrounding mountains. Close to the interstate, full hook-ups, trees, large space, pet freindly, and just beautiful. Running water, stream or river side spaces would be awesome. Lake side would also be nice. Anyone have any sugjestions? Looking at this Thursday and Friday nights.
Made it to Davenport, IA (Interstate RV Park) today. Over 560 Miles. Long day for sure. Pushing it a little in the hopes we can find a nice spot in the mountains and just kick back for a day befor we head into FL.
Thanks.....

Someone here at the Rally gave us some names of some campgrounds there, our daughter lives nearby. Due to the excess paperwork still to be sorted out from the Rally I can't find the note and we have to take the trailer in for service. Hopefully those folks may see this and reply. They gave us the name of several.

Holiday travel park is a very nice one, located on mack smith near the jnterstate. Chattanooga Koa in ringgold ga is close to the interstate, the georgia winery in the front door, and near the battlefield, but not as nice as holiday travel park. Not much else on that side (south 75). I24.coming in east of the city has several around trenton ga, racoon mountain. Harrison bay state park is all locals on chickamauga lake, and cannot make reservations.

We stay at Holiday Travel park while heading south and on return north in the spring. Nice quiet park and about 10 minutes to a Camping world.

There is a GA state park just south of Chat called Cloudland Canyon. Very pretty there.

If you go to Cloudland Canyon, know in advance the width of your rig with the slides OUT. Many of the camp sites there are fenced because they stick out over a down-slope. See my sig photo; I had less than three inches on either side when I finally got the rig positioned (wasn't easy).
That said, if you like it quiet, beautiful, and coal-black at night, this is your campground. I love it there.
