I'm a believer in Xenon bulbs after having halagon. The Xenons run much cooler

That was going to be my next question Brad...I love the idea, but those halogens put out too much heat for my tastes.
My eyes really don't care for the direct lighting these rigs have so these under cabinet models may be something to look into. With dimmers of course.
My wife thinks I'm a real pain sometimes with the lengths I go to to avoid direct lighting.

Lowes sells battery operated LED under counter pucks for about $7-8.
I've had them in my 3650RK since early March and still using the batteries that cam with them.

I am glad to see this post. We looked at the round lights and were affraid they would just get too hot. After we stood there for an hour compairing the heat each light put out we decided to hold off for a while. For those of you who have them installed against the cabinets have you noticed the wood getting warm after they are on for an extended time?

Ozzie, don't blame you a bit. I avoid direct whenever I can, or at least keep both.

We have xenon undercounters throughout the stickhouse kitchen, and I don't notice heat inside the cupboards. With the previous halogens, they could melt butter in a dish above or below them. LED would be cooler temperatures yet, but I can't stand the light from an LED or fluorescent, so I avoid them.

I just bought a battery operated puck LED light and placed it over the toilet in bathroom, underside of shelf. Keystone could have easily put the light switch to the john inside the room and not on the outside where it shines on everythibg when you light it.

Phil, My bathroom lights are controlled by the switch also but they also have individual toggles on them to turn them off and on if you want to leave the master on and just turn either/or on!

Rondo, I have this setup also, BUT you still have to have the door partially open when you turn on or off, hence, the pucklight. Unfortunately I am up 2-3 times a night and DW doesn't like the light. I agree with her, hence, the pucks. I hope to change the light switch to the inside at some point, but reluctant to work with electricity.

No problem Phil as long as you have the battery and the shore line disconnected! LOL Just tap off the switch on the outside of the door and cut a new hole and insert box and switch for inside the bathroom! If I'm wrong, I'm sure Ozz will let us know! LOL

It's a little more complicated than that Rondo, but easy enough:

Phil, it is all 12V.

Nice job Brad.
I wired in an outlet in there and plugged in a night light, it's Green, very soft light, perfect for the visits I make during the night time. In my opinion, the light in the bathroom will be way too bright at 3:00 A.M. for you, you might think about a nice soft light of the night light.
If you want to test it, get a short extension cord, a night light and run it in there tonight. Check it out. Hang it over the T.P. holder.

Thanks Ozz -

I actually did that last March. My main objective was to separate the bathroom light from the hall light so somebody could use the bathroom without waking everybody up. The other switch actually controls the fantastic fan I installed in there. That switch has to bypass the original fan switch and just switches to ground, otherwise the fan cover won't continue to close when you shut it off.

I'm liking your idea on the night light and you got me thinking now. The bathroom outlet is on the opposite side of the wall so it would be a snap to put in like you say.

We just turned the hall light off at the fixture so the only light that came on with the switch was the bathroom light.
