Outside Shower 305FKS
What do I need to install an outside shower for my trailer? It is a 305FKS 2002. Also where is the outside shower installed from the factory? Any pics would be helpful.

I question the need for an outside shower. We have one and it's on the driver's side of the rig. If you use it like it is designed (spraying the kids or grandkids) and then the wet feet track dirt all around and in the front door. On top of that, before we full timed, we had to make sure the shower head was winterized. Since fulltiming, I've disconnected both the hot and cold lines and plugged them. For me, I find no really practical reason for needing an outside shower. But there are some people who like them.

Last winter in Az I saw the first practical use of an outside shower. The neighbors used it to give their dog a bath. We had one on our Prowler tt and in 13 years we never used it once.

I think we've used ours once in three years...we went tubing down a river and still had sand on our feet when we got back. Orv is right as far as the location being poor - good idea - poor implementation. I've been thinking of disconnecting ours too.

As mentioned it is a great dog washer, If you are a fisherman it is perfect for cleaning fish especially since it is on the left. If your a outdoor cooker it is handy for cleaning the pots. In the event of road failure very handy for washing dirty hands. There are numerous uses for the outdoor shower all of which can limit a mess inside. As for location I would not want the shower any closer to the entry door for what should be obvious, muddy feet.

Our 2000 305FKS has the outside shower. It's just to the left (forward) and above of the fresh water hookup. About the aft 1/3 is directly above the fresh water hookup.
We've never used ours and it has to be "winterized" each year. If I didn't have it, but thought I needed it, I'd just put a "Y" connector on the campground faucet. The only need for one (in my opinion) would be if you boondock (dry camp) alot and have no hookups.

Sounds like everyone is kinda' getting off track, but at least someone answered as to where the installation was. By the way, (I might as well get off-track also), we use ours all the time, and would not want to be without it. As soon as we set up anywhere the sprayer goes on the end of the blue hose and is available for use at all times. The campground faucet does not give you hot water like the outside shower connection does. As always, the above represents my opinion only!!!!
