Dryer vent

My dryer vent on 2006 3500RL is cracking and breaking down from sun. Can I use the same vent for stick house from Home Depot to replace it? Or does that've to come from RV store?

You probably need one from rv store. There should be two screws visible at the bottom inside edges. When removed the vent should slide up and off. Probably only need outside part. That is if it is like most I've seen.

I haven't seen a home model (doesn't mean there isn't one) that seemed to be made to withstand 70mph winds or higher. If and when I need to replace our's I think I'll go with the RV kind.

Mine have all come from Home Depot and I haven't lost one yet. Just make sure the new one will cover the old screw holes.

The chrome is available. We opted for that when our dryer was installed 5 yrs ago. Still in great shape, but under our awning most of the year.

The rv dealership I work at told me to get it at Lowes/Home Depot. It is exactly the same as I have the new one and can compare it to the old cracked one.
