slides start at the same time..
We have had our 3000rk for over 2 years.. and used it a lot.. until today when we started to set up in Soso, MS.. for the last 2 years the bedroom slide would go out before the big slide would even move.. not today.. for some unknown reason the big slide moves out about 3 inches at the bottom when the bedroom slide starts to move.. is this normal or is something going wrong.. checked the fluid and it is o.k. ..
Thanks..

Im sure it's telling something has changed, but not necessarly bad. Since the slides move based on the resistance offered I guess one could be moving easier? I would lube all visible tracks and gears and monitor them for any binding.

Over 4 years of ownership of our 4 slide rig this kind of thing happens to mine. About 75% of the time they go out in the same order. The other 25% of the time things can get mixed up, two slides will move partly at the same time or in a different order. The only slide that has been consistent is the small bedroom slide goes out or in first. As long as they end up all out, or all in, I consider it normal. The tech warned us this might happen when we had our initial orientation.
The only "problem" I've had is the start/stop problem but ever since that was fixed, if this is the worst I can expect, then I am happy.

IFw,I too have a 3000rk. The bed room slide always goes out ,and in first. I'd look real hard for the front slide having an obstruction somewhere,or binding. Lift the plywood under the bed and take a peek.Outside, when the slide is out, check under it and see if you can see any scraping marks. Let us know what the cause is,if possible. Bill

The slides started to creep out a little and out of order for me also. What happened was I had adjusted the control valves and did not have the valves adjusted as I had them previously. Just a little adjustment of the valves put everything back in order. This was for the 2010 with the outside valve compartment.

Th hydraulics are a one-system unit. So, it the rig is level, the closest ram will work first, the second, second, and you get the idea. In our 4 slide rig, it goes bedroom, kitchen, entertainment, dining room, because this is how they are plumbed, first to last. If, however, you are tilted one way or the other, and gravity is helping the slides, you may see one or another move first. Not to worry.

Bill... Well took the plywood out.. could not see anything that was putting the slide in a bind.. checked the outside.. no unusual marks.. I guess we will find out tomorrow afternoon when we get into LA..
Will keep a close eye on it and let you know if anything changes..
snfexpress... both of my slides are on the same side... and I set it up very close to level..
Johnnyg.. I lubed everything I could find.. Hope it takes care of the problem...

Manual says not to lub them bottom page 54 Chapter 10: Slide Out System.

quoteO NOT apply any petroleum products (grease) to the slide system. This will attract dirt and can cause damage to the functional components of the slide system.

Have you added weight to the bed,(change mattress ,Foam bed topper, heavy stuff under the bed? Any thing to make the bed slide heavier? If not,it could be the "o" ring inside the ram just beginning to leak. Have the wheels at the foot of the bed settled pretty deep into the carpet causing a drag? Or come loose like mine did. Bill

I use a dry lube just for the purpose.. Will not attract dirt....
As far as the bedroom slide.. I would not think it would be possible for dirt to get into the slide parts... I can see where it would get into the big slide parts because they are exposed under the Monty...

Our slides will do that on occasion.IMO it is due to the camper being a bit off level.

Could it be that you are a little off level side to side? You know what they say about gravity...

Our new 2011 does the same thing, bedroom first but some of the other 3 slides will also creep out a little. No pattern as to what slide will creep out along with the bedroom slide. Even if I turn the other slides off they will still move a few inches.

Sorry for the confusion on the lube. I use a dry lubricant that claims to repel dirt! So far no problems.
