Staying Up with the Jones's

Trash can was full in my 2005 2980RL and didn't know what to do! Ordered a 2010 3150RL, but it took so long to get it, it ended up a 2011. Sure like the dual panes, wet bolts, improved storage door handles and gas struts, and hi gloss. Question to new owners of Montanas ... was there a small plastic wedge along the upper left side of the entry door when you received yours or is this just a shipping wedge my dealer failed to remove??

Our 2011 did not have any wedge on the door. My guess is that it was supposed to be removed and was missed. No big deal. Have fun in your new Montana! Ours is sitting in our driveway as we don't have a TV yet. Hard to wait but the AC went out in our stick house so we started up AC in the Montana and enjoyed the cool for awhile today!

Sounds like the shipping wedge. Ours was also left on our 2007 3400 - only it was in the bottom of the door.

It is a shipping wedge and once you remove it the door should close much easier We bought our rig April of last year and didn't find out about the wedge until we were at Quartzsite this year. We removed it and wow, what a difference

I left the wedge in place but filed it down. Still supports the door when travelling but enough filed off that it no longer catches on the frame.

Ours just came in and we like the struts on the storage doors also. Is there one on the main entry door on yours also? My DW is not sure she likes it because you can't open the door all of the way.
