Who says you can’t put a piano in your 5th wheel. (See attachment)

Bouncing down the road, that would make that a player piano, with no one to listen to it

That is one of the worst ideas I have seen. These rigs are not 5,000 square ft homes that you can have ALL the conveinces of home. Dishwashers and pianos are going too far. Keeping that piano tied down while traveling is not worth it.
some of you rv people want too much in your trailers and they are gettig more like a 43' motor home.

This 5th wheel is where we live and it doesn’t travel down the road. Since music is what I do for a living, it’s important for me. But no one will force you to have one.

Wow, Don't you think that's a little harsh. I'm a musician and i know what its like not to have your music at hand living in the monty and it sucks. Nice job adamsconsult

If no one hears it, does it make a sound ?

It has but in a couple of weeks it will be placed in a park for us to live in and we won’t be using it for travel. We’ve got it set up to move it to the middle of the room for when the slides come in.

I remember walking up a tree lined stree of fine old homes in our little town and piano music coming out of one of the fine old two story homes. BEAUTIFUL! Enjoy your piano and I should be so lucky as to hear you play some day. This is one of my favorite memories.

A couple of years ago I was at a Bluegrass jam. It started to rain and the wind picked up. We ended up having two guitars, a mandolin, a banjo, a dobro, and a full size bass playing in my rig for a couple of hours. Yes it was crowded, and a little loud. But it was wonderful and a great memory. You can't have too much music. I'm sure someone may frown on all of us having fun, laughing, singing, and doing our thing. Maybe I can park next to you when we are the coast next time and we can really make that trailer rock.

Love the idea!! I was thinking of doing that in my 3731FL. Was discouraged when I figured out there is a drop down at the end of the slide. Love the idea of a small platform for the piano bench!

How's that working out for you? Any other thoughts since you've had this setup for a while?

LOL Thanks for the pic above. I thought that post was one of the most meanspirited comments I have ever seen on this forum. Gratuitous meanness.

PS. Not all pianos weigh a bazillion pounds or even have strings and hammers to jostle around while underway. The new electronic pianos sound fantastic, have weighted actions similar to a grand piano, and are very light. So bringing a piano in a fifth wheel is really not outrageous at all. You can even plug in with headphones and NO ONE in the campground would know you are playing it.
