Yet another broken promise! Will the VA be next?

maybe you should ask your represenitives to start pitching in for some of their healthcare first. before they keep dinging the people who put them there.

Wonder how much cut the Senators, Congressmen, and their staff people, not to mention the President and his staff will endure? Who's country is this anyway? Larry

First off, it's not right. But, my private sector insurance has increased by that amount, if not more. Outside of our runaway government, health care is the number one issue in our country today out weighing even unemployment.

Not just the old farts getting screwed, either:

But after that, it envisions abandoning the comparability standard, limiting military raises to 0.5% for FY15, 1% for FY16 and 1.5% for FY17.

This is the ONLY place budget cutting is allowed...

The tricare issue is a broken promise. Our Government promised our military retires free health care and the promise was broken. Not Right.

As a retired career Federal Employee our health care was never free and never was promised to be.

Remember Congressmen and Senators come under the same health care plan as any Federal employee. They will pay the same increases but then they make a bit more $$ than I ever did.

Thanks for the post Mike. I took advantage of the MOAA site to fire off an email to my "representatives".
How about we stop ALL foreign aid 1st? Then demand that all elected officials act as leaders and cut their benefits by the proposed margins BEFORE foisting the cuts on the public?
I want to say more but this is an RV site that I enjoy so I'll just stick with RVing and stay out of trouble with the moderators.

Retired Coast Guard, does not surprise me. But hopefully the people who fight for us will come through.

Pineranch,
Thank you for your informative thread. I think it may serve aa a valuable link to deal with this issue so will leave the thread up but locked. That way folks can still see the link. Unfortunately this type of thing can and often does disintegrate into a purely political bashing. Before it gets any worse we are locking it. Thanks for your understanding. RVWheels, MOC Admin.
