Carrier on Backend for Generator

If you added a platform on the backend to carry your generator - please describe how you built it and how you attached it to the backend. My Monty does not have a rear bumper and I would like to add a small platform to carry my Yahama 2400 generator. How do I do this?

I have a Mountaineer , but some people have done it to their Montanna . The setup is different on the mountaineer they have a bumper and Montannas dont .. Check with Ozz the guy that has done a lot of good mods I think he did it to his . They really work great
and when you dont need it you pull the pin and remove it .But i never take mine off I fulltime with a eu 6500 honds generator

JMG,
I did my own hitch, but you can have it done at any good hitch shop. You can get a small wire and steel carrier and it will work with your receiver, but you will have to get an extension. The hitch shop will have one. The back of the Monte sticks out pretty far, so that's why you need an extension.

I had a 2" receiver hitch installed at my dealer. They welded it to the frame. I have a standard cargo rack, like ones from CW, that fits into the receiver. I currently have a metal box for my Honda gen but want to do something different. Still exploring what at this time. Read somewhere that a marina box?? is what someone uses. Light weight but durable. Don't know that answer yet. Hope this helps.
