Miami Area Park

We are going to the Florida Keys in 2 weeks and are looking for a good campground near Miami for a jumping off spot.
We coming off the Aligator Alley so we don't want one North of Miami.
Anyone know of a good park?

The Larry and Penny Thompson State Park is between Miami and Homestead and it is a beautiful park. 305-232-1049 phone number.
Close to everything and good location.
Should have sites this time of year.
