Prayers Please

As many of you know Megan is a 3 and 1/2 lb very spoiled yorkie. This morning hubby picked her up and she jumped out of his arms out on our front porch, landed on her side and immediately stopped breathing, I did CPR on her for 15 min and finally got her breathing on her own but not well, we rushed to the vets 30 min. away and she still was unresponsive. They did all they could and we were there for over 3 hrs, she has sort of come around but don't know yet is she will make it or if she has brain damage. This is our baby, and we are just devastated, it is very touch and go at this point but we are praying that she will make it all in tack. Roger is so upset as she is his baby. Hope to see many of you at the rally. The people on this board are so caring that I just had to post, thank you

Sue,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and roger for Megan. We have a brain injured springer who was thrown against a wall when she was 3 days old. She is now, four years later, almost completely normal with just a few residual effects. Don't lose hope just yet, hang in there guys. Keep us posted.

My prayers are with all of you. I know that God will take her in his hands and do what will be best for her. I know how hard it must be as I lost my beloved Hydro in 2004 after raising him from 3 weeks of age. He passed at 15 years old. My heart has never been the same. Kathi

Well we have had a sleepless night and Megan is still with us.... not much has changed, she seems to be only able to move her head, getting a little sugar water down her but not much improvement. Will post again later. Thank You for all your prayers, Sue

It is now PM and I just got home from church, Roger stayed home with Megan, she is doing a little better. The vet called and said to get some baby food turkey or beef, mix it with warm water (so it is runny) and she ate 2 teaspoons of it and is drinking water off a spoon so we are still encouraged that she will get better. Thank You everyone for your concern, this Montana family is GREAT

Sue,

You might ask your vet if he/she has nutrical or nutri drops. They are great and help maintain your baby while she is healing. I have found when they are sick to try whatever! Also ask the vet if he/she sells AD, it is prescription dog food, small can, must smell good cause just about every dog will eat it when they are ailing.

She is very small, you need to keep her sugar in balance, if you can, if she goes into sugar shock you will have a entire new set of problems, but, I am sure you know that.

We are pulling for ya out here, Abby, Cappy, Tilly and Mr. G are still praying hard for Megan! Poor little thing, she has been on my mind all morning. Sending forth good thoughts and lots of hopes.

Thanks for keeping us posted.

Carol

a quick update... we went to the vet this am and Megan got another iv, med and has to go back tomorrow for more. On a scale of 1-10 from sat. am to now on improvement I would say a 2. The vet is hope full and we just love him, he is in his 70's and truly loves all of the animals, we trust his opinion. It is still very much touch and go but we are going to give her a chance. Thank You again, Sue
