Central Illinois....Moraine View State Park

We're parked again near our son and his wife for a week. Seems dear son has a project for Dad.....putting up a fence for their new Schnauzer puppy. It will be a restful week for me to catch up on rally business before we move further north. Nice campground which will most certainly be full over the holiday weekend.

Judy, we were going to come out to the park for Labor Day weekend but we received a call from Comlara Park(north of Bloomington) We did take a drive through Moraine Veiw last Saturday. Have a good and restful week. Maybe we will be in the area next season and be able to get together.

Judy,
We will be about 180 miles south @ Rend Lake. Have a good weekend and don't let Glen work too hard.
Rick.

That's a very nice park. We enjoyed our short stay there earlier this year. And the company, too!

See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!

We had a nice stay at Moraine View. It's great to have a campground so close to relatives.

It is interesting to see what happens in these smaller state parks over a holiday weekend. Everybody and their brother (literally) pulls in their rigs and they set up this very complicated joint dining and campfire area. And they fellowship all weekend long, quietly, I might add. It doesn't provide much interaction for us out-of-staters because they're all with family but it's wonderful to see families camping and fishing and playing together.

Once the weekend is over, in a span of two hours, there's the grand exodus, and everyone has left for home, leaving the campground very empty.
