I hope she keeps improving as the days go by. So nice to have a caring and good veterinarian. Thanks for the update......I woke up a couple of times last night and wondered about her. Prayers continue! Marilyn

A quick up-date on Megan... back to the vets today and she has scratched her cornea's in both eyes with the leg movement, so now on eye drops and has on socks on all four paws. She is doing better is now drinking out of a spoon without me pouring it into her mouth. We has steak tonight and I gave her a tiny, tiny piece, she smelled it and WOW she was looking for it, ate it and would have eaten more. We have her on a prescription liquid diet to keep everything working and so far so good. Again thank you so much for all the messages and prayers you guys are just great. We go back to the vet's again in the morning for more IV meds.

Roger and Sue,

Sorry that I have missed your post until now. There isn't anything that can match the unconditional love that a pet gives you. Wising you many tail waggin days in the future.

If she is scratching you might want to look into a 3M collar that will keep her from injuring herself again.

Carol has given you a great suggestion about the Science Diet AD if she won't eat. I am not sure why all pets, dogs and cats, love it but unless they are really sick they will eat it before any other type of food.

Once Megan starts eating more solid food you can cook rice and chicken and turkey to put some weight back on her.

Little paws can't afford to lose weight as they really don't have alot of fat on them. Lots of fluids help out as well. When I cook up chicken at our kennel I save the broth and add it to pets food and or water if I am worried about dehydration. Don't keep the broth and water after you have offered it to your pet.

Thoughts and prayers are with you and yours to pull through this.

Colleen
