There are always a lot of questions when this subject arises. For example here is California Dept of Motor Vehicles web site.
There are four types of noncommercial DLs:
Basic DL (Class C): A standard vehicle or truck for personal use on California roadways.
Motorcycle (Class M1 or M2): 2-wheel motorized vehicle. Learn how to apply for a motorcycle license.
Travel trailer/fifth wheel (Noncommercial Class A): Over 15,000 pounds gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), or a trailer coach over 10,000 pounds GVWR (when the towing is not for compensation).
Housecar/motorhome (Noncommercial Class B): Over 40 feet, but not over 45 feet (with endorsement).
https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/driver...r-licenses-dl/
This seems pretty clear a non commercial class A or B license is required for an RV in California. Some states web sites are far from clear. And many independent web sites trying to list all states disagree with each other.
This would probably better as a new thread as it deviates from the original post.

What’s political? There was or is a thread with a reference to Brandon. That is referring to the President isn’t that political?

Can this thread be deleted? The title just begs for a response that will keep it going and not accomplish a thing. It’s a waste of eyeball time.

You do realize that license is a NON-Commercial Class A but does not involve the federal government as does a true CDL. It is just a name. It could just as easily been labeled Permit To Drag Large Ass 5th Wheel.

I'd say many of us who see a thread that aligns with our disapproval simply don't click on it any further. Just like when some on the MOC never click on a thread that involves "dieselguy" Ha!

The point has been made repeatedly that the MOC is *NOT* the forum for political discussions and especially thinly disguised vulgarity. You can agree and not. But posting of political content is subject to deletion and suspension of access privileges. There are a plethora of web sites where you may express your opinions, perceived solutions, cast blame, and denigrate whomever. But this forum isn't it.
