We have a 3720RL with the pivot door. It does save space since the open door doesn't almost cover the face of the shower as in older models. For us, the real negative on this door is when the slides are in. We can get to the door, but can't open it to enter the bathroom. A door that opens inward would solve this.

This past weekend we picked up our new 2016 3000RE Legacy from RV outlet in Ringgold Va. We love the camper, love the dealer experience. that being said, from the time we first looked at this camper in late 2015 to the time that we ordered and received our unit last week, their seems to have been a lot of changes. The folks at the dealership said their un-official count was 4 versions. The first unit we looked at was very different in so much as the accessories as compared to what we received. Some things were taken away, like the heated floors, other things added like a redesigned closet with the washer dryer having its own access door now. All in all we like it very much. Oh.. and it does have the pivot bathroom door, which we do like a lot because we don't have to move into the bedroom or go down a step to be able to open the door. On the 3000RE the slides don't interfere with it. So that being said, it would seem it works better for some units then others perhaps.
The point of my post is to agree with phillyg.. yes, there have been changes, so hopefully what you get will be something you love. But if you want to know exactly what you're going to get before it arrives.. my only thought is you'd need to call Keystone, because there seems to have been many changes, I would say about a dozen on our unit from when we first saw one last year.

Saw the 3711 today for the first time with the pivot bath door and although it helped with space restrictions in the hall area it seem to really block easy access to the toilet with the 1/2 of the door part that opens in to the bathroom.
Also saw next to it a Grand Designs model with a pocket bathroom door. A much, much better idea in our opinion.

Was able to see the 3711 today at the Atlantic City RV show. The model was very impressive and I liked the front window feature. The problem was the hinged bathroom door was broken already and you couldn't enter the bathroom. This was the first day of the show, hinge didn't hold up very long.

I also saw a 3710FL that had just arrived at the dealer after traveling cross country, and it too had a broken top hinge on the Pivot door? Montana will need to address this quickly.

Well, this can be part of our three-day report on our first trip. When we saw the door at the show we thought, what a great idea. In usage, we have a cat and her pan is in the under sink cabinet, so the cabinet door stays open. The pivot door thus stays open so we have to squeeze by a bit to go down the hallway. So, it would be okay if the door remained closed, but not as we use it. Not the end of the world as we know it.

You asked what model has that door...2017 3791rd for sure. It is a cleaver idea. My 2016 3791rd does not have it. I looked into retrofitting one but was told it requires a new hallway wall. It turns out they reengineered that wall do adapt that door.

I have a 3950 2016 and I have the pivot door. Been on my first ling trip. I like it better than a hinged door due to space restrictions in the hallway. I have noticed it you try and close it to hard, the rear part will hit the door frame, because there is a little flex in it. so don't try to close fast and hard. I can see this making a wear spot on the frame in time, if your not careful.
I too saw the Grand Design model, at the Hersey show with a pocket door, makes much more sense, however on my unit there would need to be some significant redesign, the wall going into the bedroom upstairs is rounded, so no pocket door to go that way. on the other side, there is room, but the loft above the den restricts the height there, so again, no pocket on that side.

We have a pivot bath door in our 2016 3160. I love it! When shopping for a new rig, I insisted that we be able to get in the bathroom without having to step down and around. This new pivot door prevents that. We've only had ours since March, but we've done a lot of traveling in that time and have had not issues. To prevent any problems I make sure to the door is fully closed and latched before we travel.

I don't like the idea of pivot doors on an RV just for structural and rattling reasons

so far no problems with our pivot, our model a regular door would block the hallway

We love our pivot door on our 2017 3811ms. Pass down the hall or enter the bathroom from either directions while the door is open. However, on one trip we stopped and got into the 5'er to get some drinks out of the fridge and found that the bottom pivot point nut had dropped off and the door was whopper jawed hanging only from the top pivot point. Luckily the top pivot point had not gotten bent. No telling how long it hung that way before we found it. I found the nut and reassembled the bottom pivot point. Not sure if it will happen again but keep an eye on yours just in case. Happy Trails and Blessed Travels to you all!

We also have a cat. Our previous trailer had a closet in the hall (in the slide) which was perfect for the pan, but this trailer does not. I proposed sectioning off part of the under bed storage and installing a cat door, but Hubby was not in favor of this idea. So we bought a covered litter box and put it in the closet. Not the best, but all I have to leave open is the closet door.

I have the 5er with a pivot door. Unlike others here, I do not like the door. Ours' is difficult to open and close.

We have a 2017 3820Fk with the pivot door. It is space saving, but I have to keep tightening the bottom bolt. And often, the hinge side of the door will catch on the frame. A slight tug on the door will close it, though.

If your bottom bolt keeps coming loose try some lock tight on it.
