Replace toilet seat with stick house seat?
I know it'll fit, but is it okay to use a stick house seat in our Cramper? Noticed that the original plastic seat and lid seals everything and is flush (no pun intended) with the stool. But a wooden one has air gaps between bowl, seat and lid. The stool/trap being water sealed, this shouldn't be a problem, should it???? Thanks, D

We have always replaced our hard plastic seat with a padded seat from Lowes. The seal is at the bottom of the bowl, not the seat.

I'm not sure of the model you have. If it is a Sealand toilet I know a regular home type seat will fit. I bought one at Ace Hardware for about $13 if I remember right. It fits great and the new attaching method allows for fast removal from the porcelain bowl for easy cleaning. There are a couple of cam type levers that attach the seat to the bowl.

I wonder if someone sells them in a hickory finish? I just love coordinated woodwork!
