Flying J Truckstops

We will be travelling from NC to FL (Disney) weekend of the 16th. Going to try to make it to FL/GA line on Friday and stop for the night. Does anyone know if Flying J allows overnight stay for a few hours sleep? I noticed that there is one at exit 29 on I-95. If not, can anyone recommend a CG in that area that is easy on/off I-95. Thanks in advance.

Flying J has a website (Google Search) and I belive they welcome RVers for overnights. Good luck!

I just came back from Florida and on my way down I was able to spend the night in the rest area in NC. There where no signs saying I could not, but there where in SC. With all the rigs that where in there with silent engines I imagine they where sleeping also. I was there for about six hours before I left, they alarm clock was the 18 wheelers pulling out in the morning.

Most Flying Js have designated areas where RVers can stay overnight. We sometimes do this when it suits our plans. Truck stops can be noisy so I use soft foam ear plugs. You can't generally put out your slides, but sometimes, if there are several RVs together, you can come to some arrangement with your neighbour to put some slides.

Flying Js do vary in age and quality, some are better than others, and a few are just too small for any overnighting. They usually have water filling and tank dumping facilities at the RV fuel islands.

Yes the Flying J at exit 29 has a large area in the back behind the truck parking, for overnight and they also let you park near the curb (in the evening) in front of the restaurant.
We have friends that stay there every year on their way to Florida.
There is a Passport Am. along there we stayed in behind a comfort inn. Full HU I think was $12.

Check Cracker Barrels also. They have a web site as well and after you spend the night you can wander in for breakfast.
