apple tree ducks!!
heres a couple pintails I carved from a log that was part of a fallen yellow delicious tree. I finished them naturally, liked the color and dark stripes.

They're beautiful, Tom. Did you have to do the head in a separate piece of wood and then join them together?

What a great talent you have. My dad was a wood model maker for Chrysler and your carvings bring back may memories of things my dad would make.

yes Judy, the ducks are 2 piece, body and head, the wood log was only large enough around for the body, altho the head is of the same wood.

I love them. I really like ducks and have a few unusual pieces sitting around. You are just wonderful at looking at something and seeing something else. What a great talent you have.
