The 400 square feet for the 3400 must include the basement and front storage, because my calculations only yield 368 square feet of living space?? Comments??

You must have gotten the half-year model, they are smaller.

Good one Robbie, 32 square feet less would mean that ours shrunk 4' from the hot Myrtle Beach sun last week. Back in WV now, expansion is coming due to lower temps, no wonder my side of the bed was in the front closet!! Whoops, on second thought that may have been a result of an (in)advertant kick from DW.

I always thought it was inside length. 2955 meant 29.5' long inside. Motorhome was that way too.

Please, please, don't tell the DMV in Idaho that my 3400 is longer. They would tax me for that total length. However that is the way the State Parks system gets it grant money for fixing things. We are taxed on the length of our campers, trailers, 5th wheels and motorhomes, so please keep the noise down.

My 2880 in 2001 was 30' 11" and my 3000RK is 35 1/2'. Just a model number like others have said.

How right you are. This whole freedom of speech thing is getting out of control. Used to be if you didn't know what you were tlking about, you kept your mouth shut. Not so much these days.

Wow...so being a Newbie I am finding this a bit confusing. What shall we tell future Parks our actual length is? We have a 3000RE Legacy Edition and I estimated about 12 paces.

Some California State Parks have a 30' limit.
When questioned I refer to the label by the door and show them it's a 29.55 foot trailer.

I. Asked the factory guy, since I couldn’t find any two points that measured 29’ on our 2955 RL. HE said that the 29’ was the length of the frame they start with.
Our actual length is 33’. The 55 I assume is the model number, and the RL stands for rear lounge.

Maybe the bigger numbers just is a way to make you feel better, Its like the volume on the stereo goes to 11 instead of 10 and so it makes it 1 louder. Lol

I was a real estate broker in both Carolinas for years. I sold a few condos with less square footage than my 5er has.
