We have a fairly heavy coach and wonder if anyone has an auxiliary brake on their 2500 HD with Duramax and Allison Trans? Is an exhaust brake the thing to get? What happens to the warranty and how does it effect the Allison downgrade shifting?
Naturally we are concerned a bit. We can pull the beast no problem but we do need to stop it when we are in the Rockies.
Searching on all the diesel pages and other RV sites haven't given me a clear answer. Not that I understand these things too much. On this level I am definitely very girlie.
I will include a link on the only bit of information that seemed to really apply and I can't make heads or tails of it. Maybe it's my A D D????
Allison Trans & Exhaust Brake
Are there other brake options besides an exhaust brake?
In advance thanks for your input.
