For those who do not have GPS, scientists have come up with a way that you can tell what direction you are traveling in and you don't need a compass.
COWS!
They align themselves North or South when grazing or resting. So if your NEW car does not have a compass, watch the cows.
Of course, you will need to know if you are heading East or West, and most likely if you are that lost you will need to keep the cows in sight. Just remember that if you are heading West and you want to go South, it a left hand turn, or else it's a long way around the beltway.
If heading East or West you SHOULD be able to tell if the cows are pointing North or South, unless you are really lost.
