Tire Life?

Hi

I had a Class A owner tell me yesterday that he had gone to a tire store to get a tire replaced because of a sidewall injury. The tire store citing a new DOT regulation refused to work on the rig because the tires were older than 6 years.

Has anyone else run into this?
