Lost all 12 volt DC power
When I came to set up camp this afternoon, all my 12 volt dc power did not work.
My batteries were fully charged, I have 720 watts solar. My fridge and water pump does not work unless I run the generator. I have checked all the fuses and turned the breakers of and on. I have turned the battery switch of and on.
Does anyone have any ideas why my dc power does not work. I have checked all the battery terminals they are tight.

Turn your battery disconnect switch on. When it’s on, the red handle will not pull out. If that doesn’t work, it’s very possible that the auto reset breaker on the wall behind the batteries has failed. It will be the one that may have a single cable connected on one side and two cables connected on the other side with one of them going to the hydraulic pump motor.

Before you start replacing the auto reset breakers, use a voltmeter and check for 12 volts to the breakers. You should have 12 volts on both terminals of each breaker. If you do then they are good and your problem is downstream of the breakers.
If you have 12 volts on the battery side of the breakers but not on the load side then you have a bad breaker and it needs to be replaced.

We got a resettable breaker from an auto parts store when we needed one years ago.

Daryles, I don't have any circuit breaker on my RV, only the two red connection's.
CW installed my inverter on the opposite wall with a grey box. Do you think they did away with that breaker?

If it works on shore power but not on battery, it could be your converter?

If you have 12 volt power when connected to shore power, and your batteries were not connected, then your converter is working. If your converter was not working and there was also no power connection to your batteries, then you would have nothing. If your batteries were connected and your converter was not working, your batteries would discharge with use and would not be getting power to recharge.

The circuit breakers are the things with the red plastic covers on them. They are not junctions. The only one that would need to be replaced would be the one that has a cable going to the hydraulic pump motor. It probably also has another cable off the same terminal that goes to the inside panel by way of the battery disconnect in the convenience center. If you are not able to replace it yourself, then you may be better off having it replaced by someone that is capable and has the tools necessary.

Do you guys think Montana would reimburse me if I have a mobile RV technician come out and fix it. I bought the trailer 11 months ago, so hopefully it shouldn't be covered under the warranty.

I was at Quartzsite AZ and my 50 amp breaker kept kicking out and the slides would stop and start and then it went completely out no 12 volt at all. I started the generator and still would not open slides I just happen to carry a 80 amp breaker in my tool bag just incase so I replace the 50 with the 80 and whala everything works great. But I removed the 50 amp breaker.

Affinity installed the 80A one in the picture. If you follow the fat red wire from the battery box (bottom right) it goes to the first breaker left post. Then you have a short 3" jumper to the 2nd breakers right post. On this post they tied in the 80A breaker that goes to the hydraulic motor.
So electrically, the 80A is tied to the battery + post.

I just checked the continuity on the 2 small breakers you have on the picture it is good.
So it must be something else which is wrong causing me not to get 12 volt DC power.

Have you looked at the battery disconnect in the convenience center

Yippie, I finally fixed it. Thank you all for helping me out. It was one of those small 50 amp breakers which was faulty.I went to a Napa store and got me another 50 amp breaker, they didn't have the 80 amp.

Now that you have identified which breaker is the problem, and have temporarily gotten your system working, you now have time to locate an 80 amp breaker because the new 50 amp breaker won’t last any longer than the first one. The 80 amp breakers are usually available on Amazon. This is a link to a thread that talks about which breaker that works. http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...hlight=bussman
