There really isn't any rhyme or reason to the numbers. A long time ago model numbers indicated the length of the rig. In fact when the 3400 first came out, the specs listed it at 34' when it is really 37+'. We had a 32xx Tahoe that was 32' but that was a while back. Since 400 sq.ft. is the max in many places then that wouldn't hold for the 3500 and so on.
