Helen, Bastrop is a pretty lil town. we stopped there last jan. 2006, stayed at the "best campground in Texas" as their advertisment, lol!! nice river to just sit and watch. Nancy and I been so many places I cant remember without looking in my log book, but I think thats where Tex Ritters museum is, for I seen the ad in the campground office and decided to stay a couple days longer.We really enjoyed that.
