Greetings, just something to try. I took an old bicycle inner tube and cut 1/2" rings out of it (like calamari) I took one of these rubber rings and put it over the cable then stretch it over the spring loaded recepticle cover to hold it tight against the plug. Have been doing this for years with no connection problem. Worth a try. Good Luck
