When I was in high school my uncle had a fish camp on the Tombigbee River at Coffeeville, AL. I loved to see the big barges pass by as we were running the trotlines in his old john boat. There were 3 with orange smokestacks that were much larger than the others. One of them was the "Cahaba". I saw it pass dozens of times during those summers of the 1960's. I ran across this while surfing recently and thought you might be amazed by it as I was.
This happened about 80 miles up river from Coffeeville. DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME !!!
