Tire recommendations
I know this is another tire post from what I've seen people comment, but I'm new and can't find what I'm looking for. I have a 2016 Montana 3710fl and the stock tires are crap. Can someone help push me in the right direction of a good solid tire. ST235/80R16 is the tire that's on there. Thank you.

PolarBear I just put on a set of Good Year 614's from what I have read they are suppose to do the job. These tires are 14 ply and you can run them with 100psi I have a 2014 3285rl with factory aluminum rims rated for 110 psi. From my research Keystone started installing these rims in 2010. The rims are stamped on the inside on one of the spokes.
Hope this helps

Now the 614's will be an inch taller then the stock, that's not a problem? Also is that a G rating? I just pulled into Amarillo recently and noticed my stock China bomb is flat. Got lucky..... gonna change em all out. Just got on here for opinions to push me in the right direction. Thanks!

Woodturner, I'm facing the exact same situation on a 2014 290RLT. Had a Marathon blowout w/damage. Want to be sure oem Janta rims are ok for going up to the heavier G rated Goodyears or Geostars. I cannot see on the wheel/rims where it says they will handle 110 psi. Presume much heavier tire is ok as well?

I just changed out all 5 tires on my 2016. Since you are up in the Northwest, I found Les Schwabs very convenient to order my S637 ST Sailuns through them. They priced out pretty close to others who had them shipped and then mounted. Les Schwab's was in close Proximity of the Tacoma RV for the annual warranty, who then hauled my trailer over there to get the tires installed. I kept the same size requirements (235/80/16) with a G (14 ply aspect) and they have a highway rating to 75 mph. They already look twice as solid as the Trailer Kings ever looked with a very solid sidewall at 60 lbs per tire.

I recently installed 5 Sailun S637 tires for about $860. Unfortunately this was after a cheap tire the factory installed came apart and damaged the fender and trim.

The G614 or the S637s will be a excellent tire for your camper. Take your pick.

I totally agree. The only difference would be that GY will pay for damages to your rig in the event of a blowout. You will have to decide if the extra money is worth that.

You live in Wash state as I do and Les Schwab in Sequim is where me and my buddy got our Geostar G574 14 ply G rated 110P.S.I Tires when I had my 2012 Monty and then When I bought my 2015 I had my dealer transfer them to replace the crap Trailer Kings and we have been running them four 4 years now and thousands of miles and love them and they are WAY less expensive than GY614 and just as good IMO AND they gave me 80 bucks a tire for my GY Marathons for a trade in my total bill came to 750 bucks

You are so right...I had a friend that had a Good Year tire blow out last year and they wrote him a check for 11 k to repair his rig.

I can say tires are a hot topic on here. I did quite a bit of research and decided on the Sailuns. The Goodyears have there support group and a good track record although they have had blowouts the manufacturer helped with repair costs. I have heard some good things about Geostars from a few members on here but don't have a whole lot of other information on them. I am pretty sure that any of the G-Series tires would be way better than the Trailer Kings. I still have a barely used set that I have not been able to sell on CL.

Thank you to all that replied.... I am in Amarillo TX right now, not back home in WA like I wish I was. Not sure what I can find in the area, but will look into your recommendations during my hunt tomorrow and see what's available. Be here for a few weeks and hit the road again. Thanks!

Goodyear G 614's and say good-bye to tire worries.....Well worth the extra money in my opinion. Your rims are 110 psi. I run mine at 105 psi and they are wearing very well. Another plus to the G 614's is that they are regroovable, although I doubt many regroove them as they more than likely will be of the age to be replaced well before the tread needs to be regrooved.

When I ordered Sailuns from simpletire.com some local installers popped up. Since you're in one location for a while perhaps that would work out for you.

hrl43 as far as I know if your factory rims are rated for 110 psi they will be plainly marked on the back side of the rim. When you remove the wheel look on the spokes.

I had two blow outs within two miles with Trailer Kings on a 2015 Montana HC, ripped the bottom part of the side off. Shortly after I got the 2016 3790RD, I went with G614's. The removed Trailer Kings had a value; I put them up for sale at a camp site Camping show and received $40 each. Sold to a farmer, farmers typically travel short distances and have open trailers in dubious condition. After I sold them I had a builder wanting to buy, so there is a market for them.

I'm looking at the 614's online, can't cry about price when you look at the value of the trailer! I just need to make sure my rims are rated as soon as it stops dumping rain! The only size difference would be the 1" increase in height, correct? And that shouldn't affect anything? Just double checking that all my ducks are in order before an online order. I'll be mounting these all myself

The 1" increase is not an issue. Will raise the whole rig 1/2". I doubt you would be able to tell.
