Montana Model Numbers (Translation)
Good morning from Texas everyone. Could anyone please tell me the true meaning of the myrid of Montana model numbers. I can figure out most of the letters; RL, RK, etc but there seems to be a lot of unexplained numbers. For example, have a 2014 343RL. I have been guven at least ten different "opinions" on what the numbers really mean. Does anyone really know?? Finally, what is the main difference between the High Country and other models, is it just a smaller, lighter version or is there more to it. TIA for any information.

I was told that the 343RL Stands for 34 foot trailer (Model) and the RL Stands for Rear Lounge. But I also been told 10 different thing I have a 310RET with it being a 31 foot trailer rear entertainment center! When you find out please let me know LOL.
PS>> Hope i was helpful!

In general, the higher the number the longer the trailer. But the number has no relationship to the overall length. Your 343 RL is listed as 37'-6". My 3075RL is 34'-8". Those lengths posted by Keystone as supposedly the length from the center of the king pin to the rearmost point on the trailer. Some have said the model number reflects the internal length. Don't know about that.
RL - rear living
RK - rear kitchen
RE - rear intertainment
FL - front living
BH - bunkhouse
MK - mid kitchen
RD - rear den
FB - front bath
The High Country is not necessarily shorter than the Montana (some HC over 40'), but in general they are somewhat lighter, and with less bling.

We had a 36RL SOB, well the RL was right, but it was 40' 4" tip to tail.

My 323 HC is 36 feet long. I think there was a time the model number was the square feet in the trailer. That is no longer the case.

I thought RD was for "Raised Den", which we looked at a dealership in New Braunfels, TX. Quite impressive if you like going "up and down", then "down and up" when egressing from one end of the trailer to the other end. Another way to look at it: "sunken kitchen"...Hmm maybe they should use 'SK'.....

My guess as to the discrepancy between actual length and model number represented length might be that the model number refers to living space length and not outside overall length. I can see where if the latter were the case, some might believe living space was being overstated.
