Sealing Holes with Great Stuff Option in Black
We all have used Great Stuff expanding foam to seal cracks and holes. The manufacturer also uses an expandable foam. Being OCD, I cannot stand that yellow colored foam and found the answer last year and thought I’d pass it along. The same company Great Stuff makes the foam in black also, but you have to order it. It really looks good inside around the plumbing and everywhere a mouse could get in. Several stores online have it cheaper. The picture is just an example. Not intended to be an advertisement, just a good colored expandable foam sealant.

Thanks Jim! I'll be heading for Lowes to pick up a couple cans of it. Do you know if it is the full expansion foam or the foam you can use around doors and windows that doesn't expand as much?

Better get TWO cans; there at LOTS of gaps between the front generator/battery compartment and both the basement and the propane storage area. Not just mice get in, but cold drafts and road dirt.

For those that have used the various products, which is better for our application: "Gaps & Cracks" "Windows & Doors" or "Multi-Purpose" ?
I'm thinking the multi-purpose black; $7.49 at Amazon.

They also make a pest repellent version, in a greenish/yellow...supposed to taste bad to mice, etc

This is another version of the foam that will definitely be good for exterior applications and is black in color. https://www.greatstuff.dupont.com/pr...m-sealant.html
