Depends. The newer trucks are more powerful than the older ones (2002 or earlier). I had a Hypertech on my 2002 F250, but would not put one on my 2008 F350. When towing, I ran it at its lowest setting. Ultimately, I put it back to stock. I did notice a power difference, but the promises of fuel economy were overblown.
