I just purchased a 2005 Montana 5th. wheel... 3400RL, I am very happy to have found this group almost immediately after the purchase... in fact the dealer mentioned that this group existed, although he did not know how to contact you... My wife and I are nearing retirement and we were going to wait until then (2 yrs.) to purchase the camper (we had a Keystone Sprinter pull behind) and we wanted to upgrade to a larger bedroom (slide)... we put the Sprinter up for sale and to our amazement.. it sold in 2 days for the price we were asking.... so... we were just looking and after the deal we got on this new unit... we just could not pass it up!!!!
The camper is sitting in our driveway and I am looking at the mountain and the logo as I type... we haven't had time to stock it or use it but we are planning a 3 or 4 day trip to the Williamsburg, Va. area the second week in November.... that will be the "shakedown" cruise for us.... We are ecstatic about the trip and are reading about the campgrounds in that area from other members here.
We look forward to our relationship with other members and thanks to the Admin. and whoever else is responsible for this group for setting this up... I read the intro from the Admin. and I think we will truly enjoy ourselves... As soon as I can take some pictures I will surely put them up here.....
Look forward to the camping.... See ya all.............

Great to have you aboard. With your TT experience, you should have no trouble. You can probably tell us a thing or two. Montys are great. You will enjoy.

So nice to have you join us! We also purchased our Montana from Southern RV. They have been wonderful to work with. The owner, John Patterson even donated a couple of items for prizes at our recent Montana rally. Hope you enjoy the forum. You'll find a lot of good information here and some really nice people! If you're looking for a nice campground in Williamsburg, try American Heritage. They are off the "beaten path". Hope to see you around our beautiful state!

You're right about that. It's the people here who make this the place to be. We've met a number of them on the road and a whole bunch at the rally. Terrific people.

speezack - we will pick up our 2005, 3400 RL this Saturday. We upgraded from a Mountaineer 335 TT. We are already planning our maiden voyage this month too. We just got back from the Williamsburg area two weeks ago with the TT; wish we had waited until we made up our mind to trade. It is a great area. We stayed at the American Heritage RV park. A great, quiet place, much more roomier than one of the KOAs in the area. Have a great trip.
