In the middle of nowhere, another MOCer
Here we are, about 15 miles outside of Colorado Springs, and another 2 miles from the main road, walking the dog (and each other) and who do we run into? Rich and Helen!
Had a great evening chatting and catching up!

That's one of the fun things about being an MOCer! Great faces in Great places to borrow a phase from SD. How was the trip to the hills, Rich and Helen?

We are awed by the beauty of our great country. Here in Co we have been to the top of Pikes Peak and all over the Royal Gorge. We have seen Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, The spectacular drives, Devils towers. Camped with the ghost of travelers past outside the walls of old Ft Casper on the Oregon Trail..A great adventure indeed.

That park has really made a turn around with the new owners. It was a real dive for several years but always had potential. We went back last year for the first time in about 10, we really like it again now. Great area too, glad you had a small chance to enjoy our state.

We had a long talk with the new owners (Dave) today and he told us all they did to bring this campground up. It is a really nice CG and will get better. we are going down to the Pueblo area for a few days.

Was curious. I camp frequently at Pueblo Reservoir (State Park). Work out of the Monty every chance I get. Will be going back down there Monday or Tuesday. Electric only, 30 amp is all that's available, but usually get a spot close to the water. Beats the heck out of a motel!
Sounds like you two have been enjoying Colorado.
