Restaurants in you area!
Curious what restaurants are doing in your area! In Arizona our illustrious Governor has decided that you HAVE TO WEAR a mask to get into a restaurant, but you can take it off at the table??? WHAT?? How are your local, or where your at now are they doing about restaurants?

At our Dairy Queen we aren't doing table service even though it's allowed. Fast food restaurants were never built for social distancing and you can't wear a mask while eating so for us it's drive thru and outdoor eating only. Over the years two of our kids were killed in traffic accidents and we were glad they weren't on the way to work. Trying not to be responsible for killing one of our current kids or their relatives just to make an extra buck.

Same in TX. DW is still a bit scared to go in and sit at a table. Sure miss our weekend breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Her caution probably helps me in the long run, so I’m ok with it.

Pretty tough to eat with a mask on - not sure what you are recommending.

When you sit down, it is allowed to remove mask. A Mask generally just stops the spray.

Same in Ohio and when moving around the restaurant social distancing is in place and of course the mask can be off when eating. That is the way it is so we comply.

Around Wichita, Kansas you are required to wear a mask when entering and leaving a restaurant at any of the big box chains. Little mom and pop's, it's a mixed bag depending on your level of respect for the owner and other diners. Many fast foods like Mickey D's, some KFC's, and Wendy's don't allow indoor dining yet. Like I touched on and will mention out loud ... just how hard is it to wear a mask out of respect to the diner owner, staff, and other patrons for just a few moments before and after eating? This is not a question related to politics, rights, or enforceable laws so please don't get that wagon rolling. It's about you as a person.

The fast food restaurants are open to take out. Others are at 50%.
I agree with dieselguy, our of respect for the hard working people in restaurants I wear a mask and let them know they are appreciated through a thank you and a tip especially the fast food restaurants.

In our area (Eastern Ontario Canada), restaurants are limited in seating as the tables have to be six feet apart. You have to wear a mask while walking through the restaurant (going to table, going to washroom, etc.), but you can remove it at the table. Staff must wear masks.

Our counties (Benton, Franklin) in Washington State are still stuck in Phase 1.5 and that means 50% capacity and outside seating only. Five counties in central Washington still stuck at lowest phase. Food must be cooked at restaurant, taverns, wineries etc. are closed to everything except take out. Same thing here for the outside dining is wear mask until seated at table, remove mask eat, put mask back on to leave.

We just cook on the Blackstone. Weather at home or in rv. It’s easier than going out at this time.

New York State - masks AND social distancing between tables along with no more then 50% occupancy. If you are solely a bar drinker, you also need to have some "substantial" food in front of you according to Emporer Cuomo. Chips or wings aren't enough. We have only gotten take out 2-3 times since many restaurants are not being careful as being shown by the virus uptick locally with some losing their licenses. Not much fun for an evening out.

Winter is going to really kill the restaurants, I feel sorry for those in the cold belt that won’t be able to continue outdoor seating.
I read an article from the food service industry saying 50-60% of restaurants will not survive.
We’re in Alabama with a mandatory mask requirement state wide but still seeing lots of people ignoring them.

One thing to remember. Restaurant workers have to work because of the low pay and for the most part they don't have health insurance. It's not just a matter of you and your mask, you'll be using restrooms and other enclosed spaces with those employees. We're taking temps at the door for our employees, and they have insurance (one reason we full time) and we won't let them work if someone in their family has tested positive, but do we know in all cases? Even with all that it's still drive in only for us.
