Decals need to be "burnished" on both sides before trying to peel back front and back protective cover.

I have a plastic tool used for installing decals, it's made of hard plastic. To burnish, place decal on flat surface. Rub protective cover with tool at 45 degree angle. Apply a bit of pressure, do all of one side. Then flip and do other side (if both sides have protective cover).

Then apply decals using the "book" method.

This is a process I learned from a professional installer.
