I ended up with a 2010 Montana 3465SA and pull it with a 1 ton dodge diesel. The Montana is just under 12,000 lbs. It's 37 feet but lighter than most other Montana's. I keep looking at the new Montana's and they keep getting heavier as the trucks get bigger. My thoughts are leaning towards a smaller 5th wheel....preferrably around the 30 ft length ... but as others have mentioned Montana doesn't make anything like that. I wish they did. After 8 years of pulling my Montana from BC to California, Arizona and even to the tip of the Baja one year the roominess has been great. We mix it up between resorts and boon-docking with two large solar panels. What I'm missing now is a smaller unit to go those places where you can't take the big rigs....State Parks and the coastline. I'm looking for a high quality 5th wheel like the Montana but shorter....any good brand names out there??
